How do you avoid revenue gaps while waiting on provider approvals?

Our new provider was onboarded a few days ago, and we thought that the billing was to begin immediately. It was during the middle of the setup process that we had to understand the importance of medical credentialing services in ensuring that the revenue stream remained intact. A low enrolment caused months of paybacks. What worked was the development of a checklist and initiating the applications to payers earlier than we anticipated ourselves to do. Wonder how other people have timelines that work so well that credentialing doesn’t silently burn cash flow as the business grows.
